This year 2008 is the last I stay at Escuela2
I have already finished the secondary school
And, as usual, we are going to give ourselves a great tribute:
A great trip
For it, we had to organize itself very well
In first place, looking for destinies
There were several options:
- Cruise by the Mediterranean
- Paris
- Amsterdam
We all voted, and almost unanimously, we chose the CRUISE
In second place, request of budget, more or less about 600 €. Approved
In third place, according the date with the school. We accorded as a satisfying date the second week of April.
Finally looking for the way to finance at least 50% to of the trip. How?
· Making cakes, every Fridays and school celebrations (Fallas, Christmas, etc.)
· Making day-care services, during the parent’s meetings of the classes of nursery and some of primary.
· Playing I number of the Christmas drawing lottery, and selling participations
And finally, the day arrived: WE’RE GOING
Exit from the bus-station of Valencia to Barcelona. We arrived to the port and remained hallucinated with the ship, impressive.
We began to cross it, and it had anyything you can imagine!
Restaurants, pubs, gymnasium, cinema, stores, casino, discotheque, solarium, mini-golf, hairdressing salon etc.
This it was the itinerary:
Monday Barcelona
Tuesday Livorno (Florence)
Wednesday Civitavecchia (Rome)
Thursday Napoles
Friday Malta
Saturday Tunisia
Sunday Navigation
Monday Barcelona
Finally, according to the schedule, we lifted anchors towards Livorno for, once there, visiting Florence
Once there, we took a bus towards Florence, we began to visit the city: the Cathedral, the Baptistery and we also entered to see the authentic Michelangelo’s DAVID and everybody began taking photos at him and, although it was prohibited, we had a great time…
The boat travelled during the night at a moderate speed, and when dawn arrived, we already were in the next city: CIVITAVECCHIA. From there we hired several taxis that took to us to ROME.
In Civitavecchia, we met the splendour and character of the “Eternal City” Rome, a city of great historical and architectonic wealth that offers a great variety of interesting places for us to visit: the Coliseum, the most important monument of old Rome, passing through Venice Square, Via dei Fori Imperiali, Roman Forum, Circus Massimo, La Fontana de Trevi, a huge baroque monument constructed by Nicolo Salvi; the Pantheon, one of monuments better conserved of the antiquity, the Vatican etc.
NAPOLES
In Pompeya we visited the ruins We went through its main streets, forums, temples and villas.
MALTA
Exit from the port towards M' Dyne, also known as “the city of silence” and the aristocratic city par excellence of Malta. We left the port all together towards the town centre. The day was very warm, but we did not stop until we arrived. Once there, they gave somo free time and we went take some beers. When we finished being there, we returned to the boat and we lifted anchors towards Tunisia, a very special city.
TUNISIA
Exit of port towards the Medina of Tunisia, we all were very nervous because they had told us to be very careful at the city. We arrived at the city, and it was a little exhausting but at the end everything went more or less OK. We saw the zoco, we bought pipes and together with many other things, everything was really fine.
The NIGHT
The night began in the restaurant with a good supper to take some forces and after resting for a while, we went to the discotheque to have some fun. It was incredible!
It was some of the best moments I have lived, and hopefully we’ll return again to repeat it!
